Watch this space to find out who has won this year's prizes and for information about the broadcast of the awards ceremony and a special Down to Business live pitching event.
Voting is now closed for the BBC World Challenge. This isn't the end of the competition, however, with the top three finalists being announced this week on the website and lots of extra content still to come throughout November.
This week Leo Johnson's video diary from a social business event in London will go live on the Down to Business video page. He'll be asking if the UK social enterprise sector really works and if it is even needed in developed countries, along with interviews with some of the bright young sparks of the social business scene.
Leo will also be blogging next week in anticipation of the broadcast of the Down to Business (D2B) live event on the 26th and 27th of November. The event was the culmination of this year's D2B, the World Challenges sister series, where Leo has been helping previous finalists take the next step to grow their business. As always, times where you are will be available on the BBC World News schedules page.
The World Challenge final will be broadcast on the weekend of the 3rd and 4th of December. Viewers can find out who is the ultimate winner of the top prize this year and hear the reactions of the projects. The awards ceremony, hosted by BBC news anchor Zeinab Badawi, will come from the luxury Felix Meritas venue in Amsterdam for the second year in a row. Former Danish Climate Minister Connie Hedegaard will give the awards address, in her the current role as the European Commissioner for Climate Action.
