Nominations open and must be received by midnight on the announced deadline. During this stage BBC World News and Newsweek will be profiling the 12 finalists chosen in competition last year. These are great examples of the type of project/small business World Challenge is looking for.

3 - Voting Stage

The finalists of World Challenge will be profiled on air in BBC World News in six 30 minute programmes, on this website and in Newsweek (dates TBC). You can vote for your favourite project/business on this website. Voting will open and will close at midnight (GMT) on the announced date.

4 - Winners Announced

The Winner and two runners up of World Challenge will be announced in an awards ceremony held at The Hague, in the Netherlands. The awards ceremony will be broadcast on BBC World News and announced on the website the same day and profiled in Newsweek magazine.
